LDJ’s National Three Peaks Challenge 2021
On Saturday 11th September 2021, a team from the firm successfully completed the National Three Peaks challenge whereby they climbed the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis 1,345m), England (Scafell Pike 978m) and Wales (Snowdon 1085m) in just over 28 hours raising £3,860.00 through online and offline donations.
The challenge was in aid of their friend and work colleague, Alison Hill, who was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer earlier in the year, 10 years after she won her first battle with the disease. Members of LDJ Solicitors, where Alison has worked for several years, wanted to do something for Alison to support her through the difficult times ahead and to raise awareness of breast cancer, therefore they signed up for this mountainous challenge!
Craig Everitt, Practice Manager at the firm said “Wow, what a challenge! The team, some of whom had never even climbed one mountain before let alone three, really rose to the occasion and gave it their all and they should be very proud of their achievement. The team spirit and determination to complete the challenge for Alison, in very difficult conditions, was phenomenal making it an experience none of us will ever forget (even though the views could have been better!). The support and generosity we received throughout our journey was overwhelming and therefore, on behalf of the whole team, I would just like to say a big thank you to everybody who donated and spurred us on during the challenge. Without your support, the challenge would have been even harder to complete!”.
