This year marked a truly special milestone for our firm as we celebrated 100 years of trusted legal service – a moment not only to reflect on our heritage, but also to look confidently toward the future.
We began the year by modernising our reception and meeting rooms in January, creating a more welcoming, contemporary environment for our clients and colleagues. In February, we undertook several significant milestones in the firm’s evolution:
- We successfully converted to an Alternative Business Structure (ABS), supporting innovation, flexibility and long-term growth.
- We launched a full firm rebrand, refreshing our visual identity to better reflect who we are today while respecting our strong heritage.
- We appointed our first non-solicitor Partner, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion, modern leadership and diverse expertise within the legal profession.
Throughout the year, our people remained at the heart of everything we do. We celebrated retirements, welcomed new starters, congratulated colleagues on professional qualifications, and recognised length of service milestones – honouring both long-standing dedication and the next generation of legal talent.
Alongside these strategic and people-focused developments, giving back to our community remained central to our centenary celebrations. Throughout the year, our team enthusiastically undertook acts of kindness, supporting local and national charities and causes close to our hearts:
- In January, we supported the Nuneaton Foodbank with a donation of 60 kg of food, helping local families in need.
- February saw the team embrace our “Spin the Wheel” Random Acts of Kindness challenge, spreading positivity across the firm.
- In March, we gifted hampers to clients celebrating new home moves and marked World Book Day with a charity “mystery book” sale.
- In April, we donated 50 Easter eggs to the children at ALP Nuneaton.
- During May, we wore green to spark conversations around mental health and raised funds to support wellbeing initiatives.
- In June, over 20 bags of clothing were donated to the Salvation Army Nuneaton centre and the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
- July was a particularly special month, as we celebrated our centenary with a firm-wide centenary meal, bringing colleagues together to mark 100 years of service, teamwork and shared success. That same month, our Private Client team hosted a tea party at Moat House Care Home in Burbage, followed by another tea party at Richmond Bede Village.
- In August, our Family Law Team prepared and donated toiletry packs to Refuge, supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse.
- In September, we hosted a coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
- In October, we raised funds for Breast Cancer Now through a dress-down day and pink-themed raffle.
- November was a proud month for the firm. Alongside supporting the Royal British Legion and providing poppies for all staff in honour of Remembrance and Armistice Day, we were highly commended as Law Firm of the Year at the Warwickshire Law Society Awards – a fantastic recognition of our people, values and commitment to excellence.
- Finally, in December, we supported the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal by gifting new toys for children aged 0–16.
Our centenary year has been about more than celebrating longevity. It has been about modernisation, leadership, professional recognition, people, community impact and kindness, while reaffirming our commitment to delivering trusted legal services to our clients.
What a year it has been and we’re excited for what the future holds!
